Dear ROLCS Families,
It’s almost time to come back to school! We are thrilled to welcome returning and new families to another wonderful year at our school. I pray that you have been enjoying your break and enjoying many fun family adventures this summer! There are lots of fun and exciting changes on the horizon, and we can’t wait to partner with each of you to make this River of Life’s best year yet!
One of the biggest changes for the upcoming school year is the introduction of school uniforms. We believe uniforms will promote unity, foster school pride, and set a standard of excellence that will serve our students for years to come. To make the transition easy, the school will provide one uniform top per student free of charge; these tops will be available for pickup at our Back-to-School Open House.
We appreciate your support and partnership as we implement these positive changes. If you have questions about uniforms, ordering, or any upcoming events, please contact the school office at rolschoolbh@gmail.com. We look forward to a joyful, successful year together! Together, we rise!
In Christ,

Mallory Nicholson, Principal, River of Life Christian School
On Thursday, May 28th, River of Life Christian School gathered to celebrate a year of academic achievement and growth. The ceremony honored our Kindergarten graduates and recognized students across every grade for their hard work.
Parents cheered loudly as teachers presented awards in each category, and the room was filled with the kind of joy that comes from a community celebrating its kids together.
Notable achievement: More than thirty percent of our students achieved NWEA MAP scores that rank in the top ten percent for their grade level in math and reading.
The 2025–2026 sports year ended on a high note as we celebrated all eight ROLCS teams across three sports: Flag Football, Basketball, and Girls on the Run.
ROLCS sports are led by dedicated parent volunteers — many of them fathers — who were honored during the program. Our Assistant Principal, Mr. Gamble, also serves as the school’s Athletic Director.
While stats and trophies matter, the muscle our student-athletes worked the hardest to develop this season was social-emotional growth. From learning to control emotions on the court to building team trust, these are skills that carry well beyond the game.
The ROLCS Student Council wrapped up the year with a field trip to an escape room, where members used critical reasoning, teamwork, and leadership skills to crack the code.
Throughout the year, StuCo met weekly with Principal Nicholson to pray for the school, serve their classmates, and bring community issues to the table for solutions. Student Council members not only maintain top grades — they step up to serve breakfast and lunch and even run the school store.
Way to go, StuCo!
Upper-grade students and their families enjoyed a fancy night out to see The Wiz live in Ohio. The performances were incredible, and students learned about all the different pieces that come together to produce a great show.
It was a late night out — our students “eased on down the road” and returned to school at 1:30 a.m.!
The last day of school, Friday, May 29th, was spent at Skate-a-Rama for our annual end-of-year skating tradition. Students and staff enjoyed a morning of skating fun — with plenty of falling, flailing, and laughter.
That’s a wrap on a wonderful year of learning!
The ROLCS Science Fair on May 15th was incredible. The top five winners’ experiments centered on carbon cycling, the layers of the Earth, tectonic plates, natural disasters, and the water cycle.
Each project was voted on by parents and staff using an evaluation rubric covering accuracy, presentation, use of the scientific method or engineering design process, creativity, and proper citation.
Grades K–4 contributed class projects — kindergarteners proudly built an erupting volcano.
